Question Californians: Legalize & tax marijuana?

I'm about to vote and kind of on the fence about it.

I just voted ...I voted YES! ...Why be on the fence about it... its an amazing source of revenue (in the millions) and it stops all the time, money and space for trying to prosecute stoners. Plus its a great alternative medicince for people who would rather puff then taking highly addicitve and toxic pharmaceutical drugs.

You dont have to smoke it but lets stop criminalizing and villainizing weed smokers... ;-)

"I am so proud of being part of the show from the beginning, all the work we’ve done, and proud of what the show stands for as a whole. As I have expressed since day one of the show, that I am a singer and performer first and I am so excited to get back to that love. Since this year NBC and The Voice have decided to tape back-to-back seasons, requiring a full-year commitment, it is important for me to take season four off, allowing me to support my music that my fans have been waiting for — with the release of my new album Lotus on November 13. By pursuing my first passion of music during the break, I am also able to come back and offer even more to my team on The Voice in the future.

Isn't the prop like if you have an ounce of it on you, you're fine.. but any more you're in trouble?

I voted yes. My biggest hesitation was that since it'll be taxed, do you really think potheads are going to want to get taxed for their weed? They're still going to get it from their dealer. And I'm sure the legal marijuana won't be as strong. I didn't understand that either. Will you purchase it from a pharmacy? Do you need a license to sell? How will they know if the weed you bought was taxed and not some pineapple express sh*t you bought off your dealer?

And what about dealers that'll be found without a "job"? They'll find some other crime to make a living. And although marijuana isn't as strong as alcohol, you'll still be responsible for D.U.I.'s and whatnot. So there'll be an increase in accidents and whatnot.

May as well legalize it. It will definitely make the already existing drug market transparent so people will be aware of how much of it passes through lawful hands and out again. How else do you think the government's black ops are funded?
