Internationally: Bionic or Birds of Prey

but i do see the logic in releasing YLM...timing wise for Grammys since they screwed up waiting so long to pick/ release the second single. If they had started over last month with single #2 then in September for the cutoff they could release YLM.

I think IHB will fare better internationally than YLM in the US. It reminds me of KGB, and Pink's 'Cuz I Can'. It's simple, catchy, and fun. Just think of all the foreigners who don't know English that well singing along to the chorus since the whole song sounds like it was written on google translator. Smash!

On the other hand, RCA's never handled Christina's singles this way, so the non-conventional approach they're taking might just do some good after all, but I wouldn't bet on it. :laugh:

UGH! I can just imagine the IHB promo performances. In reality, it's probably one of the toughest songs to sing off the entire album. I can already hear all the note dodging and the growling and speeches.

A wiser move might have been I Am/Bionic dual single -- both relatively easy to perform, solid lyrics, catchy, interesting, quality single choices with mainstream appeal, Bionic had some iTunes strength and yadda yadda yadda...and at least she still has her dignity if they both flopped. :o

So the plan is probably to make 2 new videos, on RCA's money, to support these singles. If they both flop that's money RCA will not recoup from Christina's album, counting the first video. Down a couple hundred thousand dollars at that point, maybe even a million, I doubt they'll be happy with Christina anymore.

At some point the money spent will be too much to bother with the album anymore and they'll let it die. Christina will either have to record another album(also on some of their money) to make up for the loss to pay back the label or be dropped.

I was very scared that RCA might end this era with only one single, that would ve been a disaster now at least we have hope and who knows these two songs might do very well.
