This Sunday oct 16th 2011, the President will again speak at the space devoted to the civil rights pioneer. The Martin Luther King Memorial opened in August, but Hurricane Irene delayed the dedication of the site -- until now. At the event, the President will be joined by civil rights and religious leaders, as well as poets and musicians.
Tune in to watch the dedication ceremony on Sunday at whitehouse.gov/live, starting at 9:00 AM ET. I wish I could be there in person, but I will deffinatly be watching, and recording this from my television.
