The rocky start that has kicked off Beyonce’s new ’4′ album era doesn’t look like it’s about to end any time soon, with news emerging today that the highly-anticipated music video for her flop single “Run the World (Girls)” has been delayed indefinitely. The video was scheduled to drop this Friday (the 13th) on VEVO, after a very epic looking trailer made its way online this week. But earlier today, VEVO tweeted, “OK, bad news: ‘Run The World (Girls)’ won’t be out on Friday like we thought. No new date yet. Beyonce is perfecting it”. No further explanation was given.
The delay is odd considering that, not only did a huge official trailer premiere just the other day, but the video was also screened for fans and members of the media this week in New York at an album listening party, where it received positive feedback from the likes of gossip sites Just Jared and Concrete Loop. The delay will probably further harm “Girls” in the charts, which is the last the that the song needs right now. It’s already No. 65 on the Hot 100 in its third week out, and No. 163 on iTunes. Combined with poor airplay and a rapid digital descent, “Girls” could be out of the Hot 100 by the time the video sees the light of day.
Not helping matters are new reports from gossip website Media Take Out, who state that Beyonce’s label held an “emergency meeting” with the singer about her new album, urging her to re-record new material and get better management. MTO are usually full of horse****, but very occasionally they’ll actually land a legit exclusive, so it’s interesting to take note of considering everything going on in Bey’s world right now

But now our report is CONFIRMED. Yesterday Beyonce announced that, as a result of that meeting, she decided to POSTPONE the release of her new video GIRLS. And according to our snitch, she's "re-thinking" the entire album.
