Portland City Council Approves Scent Ban

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland City Council approved a proposal Wednesday to make all city offices fragrance-free.

The policy is designed to protect employees with health issues, such as asthma.

This means all workers will be asked to not wear cologne, perfume, aftershave or other scented products like hair sprays and lotion.

Employees can now face disciplinary action for wearing too much scent.

Do you realize how many people are allergic to what other people wear (perfume, etc.)? My mother goes into an asthmatic attack when she's around certain scents. It's about making the office environment healthy for EVERYone.

It would totally suck if I couldn't wear my perfume to work, but I would do it if I was asked to, and it would make people healthier.

Trying to figure out how this is "Climate Change" or "Earth Science."

Oh that's it: Some kooks think any kind of atmosphere or air-changing rules makes it a climate issue.
