Former President’s Bill Clinton and George W. Bush made their first joint visit to Haiti, touring and helping out in Port-au-Prince, the Haitian capital city devastated by the January earthquake. It’s an admirable visit, but something else happened while down in Haiti – it appears former president Bush wipes his hand on Clinton’s shirt, after shaking hands with a hatian civilian. It Looks like after shaking hands with The Haitian crowd, Bush pulls back, flicks his hand, then transitions to what at first appears to be a shoulder pat on President Clinton’s shoulder. But then he moves to a wipe – and turns away. How ... dignified
The visuals just look bad, very bad – a former American President shaking hands with a crowd of Haitians, then getting something he deems ‘icky’ and wiping it on the shirt of another American President.
