Has anyone checked with Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater? I lived there for years and attended many, many shows at that venue. They've always been really strict about cameras/video and even cell phones. I haven't been there in a couple of years, but you might want to check. I have seen them escort people out.

Yeah I just called about that. The lady said they usually restrict them, but if we can sneak it in, the most they can do is tell you not to take any. Someone on the FC said they called and they said that if the boys tell them that it's fine, then we can take photos... so I posted a thread to the management about it.

I know I won't be able to take my professional camera, but at least I can try my point and shoot or my other one.

Oh good. I was kind of worried about that. All the docents are a whole lot of retired men and women who stand at every doorway. They're strict! They don't like people coming in late for a performance and they defintely don't like cameras. lol The venue doesn't have a center aisle, right? So if you have to get up during a performance, you end up walking through like 20 people to get to an exit door. They give you dirty looks. No kidding! lol

LMFAO! Oh god, they used to have the old people like that at Wild Adventures too back in the day.

I'm kind of in the middle, on the fourth row, which is the first row that's not in the pit. I don't think it has a center isle. So maybe that's a good thing. They'll break a hip trying to get to me lol

One good way I've learned when taking pics where they don't typically allow them is to turn the flash off. The lights on stage is enough to make the photos turn out good. A lot of people don't realize that and they use the flash, which a lot of times, messes up the photos. I never use the flash at concerts that I'm working at.

No, it's weird seating. I mean, it's a great venue for sound and for viewing, but if you're in the center section, you have to walk across your entire row and then the next entire row to get out the side door. And everyone behind can see you. It's kind of strange. lol And yeah, the old peeps are a hoot. They have uniforms.

Look, see what I mean? http://www.rutheckerdhall.net/Events_and_Ticketing/Detailed_seating.cfm

Girl, you probably have one of the best seats in the house, no lie.

Ah, really? I thought it was a good row / seat. That's the row I wanted b/c I didn't want to be in the pit and look up the entire time. I have to do that at concerts when I'm right at the stage taking pics and it's like... you get heir nose hair and stuff in pics lol

That's why I really want to be able to take pics. Wonder if I can get some kind of permission with my press pass if they're going to be really strict about it. I should try that at the Hard Rock lol

See, that seating is weird. I'll just make sure to go to the bathroom before I sit down lol Or else, I might have to be like NASCAR drivers and pee on myself (joking btw, so joking) LMAO!

Actually, where you are, you're on the main front aisle. It's basically the only aisle right behind the pit. lol So the bathroom is... either to your right or left, out in the lobby. The whole hall is designed like an ampitheater, so every row is lifted above the next, like a movie theater. When you come into the hall, the unifrom retirees direct you to the door that will take you to the row where your seat is and that's basically where you stay. lol

I do, but about an hour away now. I used to live within walking distance of the venue. That was my neighborhood.

I was thinking about doing the same thing, lol.

I might send tweets, too, but I don't know yet. I'll have to wait and see what happens when I get to my family's apt down in FL. If so, I'll post the link. My computer at my house is messed up, so I have limited time right now to talk while at work.

Here are my pictures from Orlando. There are a TON of pictures of Brian. I was trying to get a good one, because he's my favorite. Not sure that I succeeded. Hahaha.
