He messed up or changed one of my favorite Bruce lines ever from this song.
He sang "Underneath the overpass trooper hits the party light switch. One, two power shift, (one)?, two power shift"
When of course we know it should have been "...Good Night. Good Luck. one two power shift."
Too bad, ruined the performance for me.

It's a tough song to sing - a tongue twister - even slowed down the way Vedder did it. I play it all the time and, even after 28 years, I still mess up the lyrics.

I bet it gets really hard when you know the lyrics to State Trooper and Living on the edge of the World as well as Open all Night. It would be really easy to go into the lyric of one of those songs following the identical lyric in the other song??
